History Of WWF

WWF was first conceived of during the industrial growth in 1961, various organizations such as, The International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) and The Conservation Foundation oversaw the unsustainable future of Earth. These organizations decided to conserve the environment, but were insufficient on funds. Later in 1961, the two organizations made a contract called Morges Manifesto to unite the two organizations in order to preserve the environment. The Morges Manifesto was created and signed the by the top 16 leading conservatives in the world. Some of those conservatives included: Sir Julian Huxley, Peter Scott and E. M. Nicholson etc. The conservatives, through the Morges Manifesto stated that the ability to reach sustainability was possible, if the funding was sufficient. In order to financially support sustainability and conservation projects, WWF (World Wildlife Fund) was created as a fundraising organization to financially support environmental preservation and sustainability. Since the day WWF was established it has faced many situations, but has always overcome them because WWF will never give up its goal of stopping destruction of nature and achieving global sustainability (Source).

Did you know there are only about fifty Amur leopards left in the Wild? (Source).Worried about their survival? Never fear, because the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is determined to stop the extinction of these marvellous leopards and populate them. The Amur Leopards are not the only ones that are endangered critically. The Black Rhino, Cross River Gorilla, Hawksbill Turtle, Leatherback Turtle; are all endangered. Unless we act quickly, these species will become extinct (Source).
